Our Story

Rooted in dignity, built on trust

Maalaga Social Foundation began in 2020 with a simple conviction: that no one should go without a meal, and that every woman and child deserves the tools to build an independent future.

What started as neighbourhood food drives in Powai has grown into six active programs spanning nutrition, care, disaster relief and rural livelihoods — reaching families across several Indian states.

We are a registered Section 8 company under the Companies Act 2013 and hold 80G certification, so every contribution is transparent and tax-deductible.

Milestones

2020

Founded in Powai, Mumbai. First community meal drives begin during the pandemic.

2021

Launched Covid relief — oxygen support and ration kits during the second wave.

2022

Registered as a Section 8 company; received 80G certification.

2023

Rural development initiative launches in Gujarat, supporting women farmers.

2024

Crossed 250,000 meals served and expanded nutrition kit distribution.
